Good morning,

As the year is drawing to a close and the festive period is starting, I hope that you are looking forward to spending time with family and friends, after what has been another busy year of change and at times uncertainty.

As we implemented at this time last year, I will be instructing our tech support team to impose a change/project freeze period over the Christmas break starting on the 17th December 2021 running through to the 4th Jan 2022. This freeze will have no effect on your regular support service and the team will be available to deal with your calls and emails as usual.

What

Changes to our own internal or hosted network, shared platforms (except Virtual Data Centre) and other shared infrastructure will be suspended for the period of the freeze.

Changes to any customers onsite hardware or networks will be suspended for the period of the freeze.

Project management and implementation will not be available for the period of the freeze.

In the event of a service incident, CETSAT will continue to resolve issues as normal.

If customers require planned changes during this window, these can be discussed and assessed.

Why

Change freezes are normal practice within the industry, due to the lower availability of staff across our suppliers and reduced technical staff availability. We therefore look to minimise all activities that introduce unnecessary risk to shared infrastructure.

This window allows CETSAT to work in a “Support Only” scenario freeing up our team – to focus on any important or urgent break-fix and support issues for clients.

When

The change freeze will come into effect at 18:00 on Friday 17th December 2021, and will be lifted at 08:00 on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

The end of the change freeze is normally a busy period, if you require change work near that date, please book this early.

If you have any questions or wish to request a change during this period, please contact connect@cetsat.com.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom and to wish you a Merry Christmas and all the very best for the New Year.

Best regards

Alan Watkins
