We have set up a group of Somerset-based IT companies able to provide the government Cyber Essentials certification and other products to ensure that companies take basic steps towards cyber security and minimising risk through technology. The group is called Somerset Cyber Group (SCG).
The group was set up primarily to ensure that the supply chains involved in the UK’s first new nuclear build in many years – at Hinkley Point – were offered adequate advice and guidance should they wish to engage us.
Subsequently, many other organisations and supply chains have declared interest in the initiative as a great way of providing a baseline expectation of good day to day working IT practice to ensure that they can rely on one-another’s working practises being safe and secure.
